Build your outage load plan
Defaults are examples, not promises. Replace them with measured values whenever possible.
How the estimate works
Daily energy equals watts × hours used per day × quantity. Recommended advertised capacity divides that total by the usable share left after your chosen reserve. The default 15% setting divides by 0.85 to account for inverter losses, standby use, temperature, and normal operating margin.
The output estimate assumes selected devices could run at the same time. Motors and compressors may draw several times their running wattage for a short startup period, so check the appliance label or manual for surge requirements.
This tool is for preparedness planning, not electrical, medical, or code compliance. Measure loads and follow every product manual before connecting equipment.
What the result does not promise
Exact runtime
Temperature, battery age, inverter efficiency, device cycling, and settings change runtime.
Startup compatibility
A refrigerator may consume modest energy over a day while still requiring a large momentary startup surge.
Medical suitability
Power capacity alone does not establish compatibility with medical equipment or a sufficient emergency backup plan.
Solar production
Panel label wattage is not guaranteed field output; weather, shade, angle, heat, and glass reduce collection.
