Field sequence

Protect medication continuity

  1. 01

Keep an up-to-date medication list including dose and purpose, and know how much is on hand.

  2. 02

Ask the clinician, pharmacist, and insurer about lawful early-refill options and emergency procedures before a forecast disruption.

  3. 03

Keep medicines in labeled original packaging and protect them from heat, cold, light, moisture, floodwater, children, and unauthorized access as directed.

  4. 04

For refrigerated or powered treatment, document the safe temperature or runtime, backup power method, monitoring tool, and relocation threshold from the manufacturer and care team.

  5. 05

After flood, fire, extreme temperature, or power loss, contact a pharmacist, clinician, or manufacturer before relying on a questionable medicine whenever possible.
